Setting up a Lindr or Portapint dispenser when using CO2 gas

Optimising Beer Dispensing with a Gas Bottle for Lindr or Portapint Dispensers

Setting up a Lindr or Portapint dispenser with an external gas bottle provides an ideal solution for dispensing beer from steel kegs, especially when the system is in use for extended periods exceeding 48 hours. While these dispensers can be used for short-term events with standard kegs, prolonged use without gas will result in flat beer, affecting quality and taste.

Why Use a Gas Bottle?

By connecting an external gas bottle, you can significantly extend the shelf life of the beer and maintain its quality for longer periods. This is especially beneficial for events or venues that require continuous beer dispensing without compromising taste.

Air Compressor and Bag-in-Keg Systems

When using kegs that contain a bag inside, such as Keykeg or Polykegs, it’s crucial to use the built-in air compressor without allowing compressed air to come into contact with the beer. This system ensures that your beer stays fresh and carbonated without any risk of contamination.

Enhancing Safety with a Secondary Gas Regulator

To further enhance safety and ensure optimal operation, it's recommended to install a secondary gas regulator after the main CO2 valve. This serves as a safety precaution, providing smoother operation and minimising potential risks during the dispensing process.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your beer dispensing setup operates efficiently, providing fresh and high-quality beer throughout your event.
